The B6N2 ‘コ-B6-11’ in 3D

A procedural model built in Blender from the type’s published dimensions, painted as Nakajima B6N2 Tenzan (Allied name ‘Jill’) coded ‘コ-B6-11’, a wartime Imperial Japanese Navy aircraft photographed on an airfield in Japan: a three-seat carrier torpedo bomber with a Mitsubishi Kasei 25 fourteen-cylinder radial driving a four-bladed propeller, a long glazed canopy over pilot, navigator and radio operator-gunner, a low folding wing spanning 14.9 m, a fin raked forward to fit carrier lifts and a tailwheel undercarriage, shown tail down on its wheels with a Type 91 torpedo slung offset to starboard: dark green overall, undersides included, a blue-black cowling, light grey main-leg doors and wheel covers, red hinomaru with white surrounds on the fuselage and upper wings and plain red under the wings, the code ‘コ-B6-11’ in white on the fin and rudder, a brown spinner and brown propeller blades with yellow tips (shape from a B6N2 three-view scaled to the published span and length, checked against a second three-view and wartime photographs of this aircraft).
