Britain still has a remarkable number of aviation collections you can walk into without buying a ticket. Some are national museums; many are volunteer control-tower museums that keep the kettle on and ask only that you leave something in the tin.
Prices are adult day-entry snapshots from the gazetteer survey. Special exhibitions, cockpit experiences and airshow days may cost extra. Donation museums often run on goodwill — bring cash.
