Gatwick Aviation Museum is 23 miles north up the A23 and M23, with engine runs on set days. Tangmere is 25 miles west along the A27. Robertsbridge, 29 miles east, opens on open days only. Wings, the nearest, opens at weekends and keeps its displays unpolished. None of the four is in Brighton itself, so a day out means the car.
