Handley Page Hastings

A procedural model built in Blender from the type’s published dimensions, painted as TG528, IWM Duxford’s Handley Page Hastings C.1A, built as a C.1 and flown in the Berlin Airlift and later with No. 24 Squadron, rebuilt to C.2 standard with the larger tailplane set low on the rear fuselage, preserved from 1968 and now hung in AirSpace at Duxford, with its four 1,675 hp Bristol Hercules 106 sleeve-valve radials, painted in the early Transport Command scheme it is displayed in today: natural metal overall with pale grey-green cowlings, a dark blue cheatline with the Transport Command lightning flash below the flight deck, Type C1 fuselage roundels on the cheatline with a black ‘T’ aft of them, a small black ‘TG528’ on the rear fuselage, ‘TG’ over ‘528’ on the fin above a red and blue fin flash, Type C roundels above the wings and black four-blade propellers with yellow tips.
