One of the largest volunteer-run collections in the country: 90-plus aircraft and cockpits on a former RAF Winthorpe bomber-training field, with a shop so well stocked with plastic kits it constitutes a hazard to household budgets. The collection's quiet superpower is breadth — Swedish Viggens and Drakens rub shoulders with V-bombers and a hangar full of engines.

Vulcan XM594, with cockpit tours occasionally given by former Vulcan aircrew, which reviewers describe with the reverence normally reserved for papal audiences.
Two big hangars plus outdoor lines: fine in rain, better in sun. Cafe cheerful, cheap. Gliding club next door has been known to upsell visitors into the air.
