A procedural model built in Blender from the type’s published dimensions, painted as Werk Nr 191659, the National Museum of Flight’s Messerschmitt Me 163B-1a Komet, one of the Jagdgeschwader 400 rocket fighters captured at Husum in May 1945, brought to Britain as AM215 and kept by the College of Aeronautics at Cranfield from 1947, on display at East Fortune since 1976, with its Walter HWK 109-509A-2 rocket motor, shown as ‘Yellow 15’ as it is displayed today: dark green upper surfaces over light blue-grey, a yellow nose cone with a black ring and the small generator propeller, white-outline Balkenkreuze on the fuselage and upper wings, a yellow ‘15’ aft of the fuselage cross, a black swastika on the fin with ‘191659’ below it on the port side, the yellow C-Stoff and white T-Stoff filler markings on the rear decking, and the jettisonable two-wheel take-off dolly fitted with the landing skid retracted.
