About RAF Cosford Air Show
The Cosford Air Show is held at RAF Cosford in Shropshire, which also houses the RAF Museum Midlands. A show there was first proposed in 1978. It now runs on the second Sunday in June and draws more than 50,000 people.
It is the only officially supported RAF air show in the UK. It runs as a self-funded, not-for-profit event, and profits go to charities chosen by the show committee. Cosford’s runway is short, so most display aircraft fly in from home bases or from RAF Shawbury. The 2003 show was cancelled because RAF aircraft were committed to the Iraq War. In 2026 it was renamed the Royal Air Force Show.
What to expect
- One day of flying, ending around 17:30 in 2026.
- RAF display teams and current RAF types, with visiting military and historic aircraft.
- Static aircraft displays and ground attractions; gates opened at 08:00 in 2026.
- Advance tickets only; under-16s go free with a paying adult.
- Parking is included in the ticket price.
Getting there
- Cosford station is about 200 metres from the showground. It gets very busy and has no disabled access.
- By road, the airfield is off the A41, about a mile south of M54 junction 3.
- Use postcode TF11 8UP, then follow Air Show signs; local road closures apply on the day.
- Parking is on grass, with a few hard-standing spaces for disabled drivers.

The date had not been announced on the official site in October 2026. The show is normally held on the second Sunday in June.
Can I buy tickets on the gate?
No. Tickets must be bought in advance; in 2026 they went on sale the previous November through See Tickets.

Under-16s go free with an adult General Admission ticket. You state how many children are coming when you book.
