Two different experiences, same coastline. Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters sit inside Low Flying Area 14 — RAF and NATO jets still transit the cliffs on weekday training sorties when tasking allows. This is the same "no timetable" game as the Mach Loop: check ADSB-Exchange on the morning you go.

Separately, the Eastbourne Airshow (typically mid-August) brings scheduled Red Arrows and military display items over the seafront — a paid-ticket event, not training. Do not confuse the two: the airshow has dates; LFA 14 does not.

Best odds

Weekday mornings for LFA training over the cliffs. For the airshow, see the dated calendar — arrive early for seafront viewing or buy grandstand tickets.

Field craft

Beachy Head cliffs are dangerous — stay behind fences and on marked paths. For the airshow, respect cordons and do not fly drones near the display line.

Common questions

Can you see military jets at Beachy Head?

Yes — LFA 14 covers the Sussex coast and jets transit the cliffs on weekday training. There is no guarantee; check live military ADS-B feeds before you travel.

When is Eastbourne Airshow?

Typically mid-August. See the airshows calendar for the current year's dates — it is a separate event from everyday low flying.
