The strongest collection is the Royal Air Force Museum Midlands at Cosford, 21 miles north-west off the M54. It is free and has the National Cold War Exhibition. Wellesbourne, south-east near Stratford, keeps a Vulcan and a wartime bunker. RAF Defford, south down the M5 at Croome, is the museum of airborne radar.
