Manston pair
Spitfire & Hurricane Memorial Museum, Manston → RAF Manston History Museum
Both on Manston Road; the Spitfire and Hurricane, then the RAF station history.
Four museums sit 12–13 miles from Canterbury. The Kent Battle of Britain Museum at Hawkinge is south along the A260. The two Manston museums are east on the old fighter station, one free. Eastchurch, on Sheppey, is where the Royal Aero Club flew from in 1909.
Distances are straight-line miles from Canterbury city centre; roads add a quarter to a half. Prices are adult admission from the gazetteer survey.
