Croome and Staverton
RAF Defford Museum → Jet Age Museum
Croome, then the M5 south; radar, then the Gloster jets.
Worcestershire was radar country: TRE worked at Malvern and flew its trials from RAF Defford. The RAF Defford Museum is 7 miles south at Croome, included with National Trust entry. It is the only museum of airborne radar development anywhere.
Distances are straight-line miles from Worcester city centre; roads add a quarter to a half. Prices are adult admission from the gazetteer survey.
