Aviation museums in Gloucestershire

Gloucestershire built aircraft at both ends of the county. Gloster, at Brockworth and Hucclecote, built Britain’s first jet, the E.28/39, which flew from Cranwell on 15 May 1941. The Meteor and Javelin followed. At Filton, in South Gloucestershire, the Bristol company began in 1910, and Concorde G-BOAF made the type’s last flight there on 26 November 2003.
