Bristol F.2b Fighter

A procedural model built in Blender from the type’s published dimensions, painted as D8096, The Shuttleworth Collection’s airworthy Bristol F.2B Fighter, built by the Bristol Aeroplane Company at Filton in 1918, flown by No. 208 Squadron in Turkey in 1923, bought as a derelict by Captain C. P. B. Ogilvie in 1936 and registered G-AEPH, then restored by the Bristol Aeroplane Company and flown again in 1952 for the Shuttleworth Collection with its 275 hp Rolls-Royce Falcon III: khaki-brown PC10 upper surfaces and fuselage sides over clear-doped linen undersides, grey metal engine panels with louvres and a long exhaust pipe along each side, roundels above the upper wing, below the lower wing and on the fuselage sides, a large white ‘D’ ahead of the fuselage roundel, white ‘D8096’ on the rear fuselage, a blue, white and red striped rudder, a Vickers gun on the cowling and twin Lewis guns on the observer’s Scarff ring, as it is flown from Old Warden.
