About this museum
Metheringham Airfield Visitor Centre (106 Squadron Lancasters) has original ration-book atmosphere plus a fully restored Dakota you can occupy from cockpit to cargo door.
Weekends and Wednesdays in season; the story of GM-holder Sgt Norman Jackson, who climbed onto a burning Lancaster wing at 20,000 ft, is told here properly.
“Thoroughly enjoyed our visit not knowing what too expect.”— Glynis, visitor report
