Sopwith Baby

A procedural model built in Blender from the type’s published dimensions, painted as the Fleet Air Arm Museum’s Baby at Yeovilton, a composite built from parts of the Sopwith-built 8214 and 8215 and displayed as N2078 ‘The Jabberwock’, the Blackburn-built Baby of the War Flight at Killingholme and Hornsea Mere in 1918: the Royal Naval Air Service single-seat floatplane scout with a 130 hp Clerget rotary in a bare aluminium horseshoe cowl, a synchronised Lewis gun on the decking, Le Prieur rockets on the interplane struts, varnished wooden twin main floats and tail float; PC10 olive drab upper surfaces and fuselage, clear-doped undersides, roundels on the fuselage sides, upper wing and lower wing undersides, blue, white and red rudder stripes, and the serial ‘N-2078’ with the name ‘The Jabberwock’ in white on the fuselage.
