Free aviation museums in the South East

Farnborough is where the UK’s first powered flight took off, on 16 October 1908. The Royal Aircraft Establishment then tested aircraft there until 2003. The free Farnborough Air Sciences Trust museum keeps that story. Its 16 airframes include Lightning T.5 XS420, Jaguar B XW566 and a Jindivik target drone.
