Free aviation museums in the South West

The South West has three free aviation museums, all by donation. In Devon, Dunkeswell flew US Navy PB4Y-1 Liberators on anti-submarine patrols from November 1943. Nearby Upottery sent paratroopers of the 101st Airborne to Normandy on D-Day, including Easy Company of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment. One team runs heritage centres at both airfields.
