Aviation museums in Suffolk

Suffolk has flown since 1913, when the seaplane station at Felixstowe was commissioned. The Schneider Trophy team trained there from 1926 to 1931. Martlesham Heath tested the RAF’s new aircraft until 1939. Then came the Americans: B-17s of the 95th Bomb Group at Horham, and from 1951 to 1993 the USAF at Bentwaters, latterly with A-10s.
