Where to see early jet-age aircraft in the South West

The South West built and tested much of Britain’s first jet generation. Gloster built the Meteor at Brockworth; the Javelin was too heavy for its runway and was finished at Moreton Valence. Boscombe Down, home of the A&AEE and the Empire Test Pilots’ School, tested the Hunter prototype.
