The only Allied fighter built from the first day of the war to the last — twenty-four marks, an engine change, a doubling of weight and power, and no loss of manners. Thirteen museums in this gazetteer hold one, from the oldest survivor at Cosford to the fifteen-strong flying stable at Biggin Hill. It has an entire supplement to itself, which it would have expected.
